When RFID cards (Radio Frequency Identification cards that can be skimmed from long distances) are fully inserted into the CardProtector, the wireless communication is blocked and the cards are fully protected. When they are pulled out by 30mm/3cm, the wireless signal is weak but still strong enough to allow cards to be scanned at a payment point. This way you are protected from theft of personal data.
